Brighter Journeys Foundation was born from a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves the chance to participate in the experiences that spark curiosity and inspire a lifelong love of learning.
Founded by educators and advocates, we’ve seen firsthand how financial barriers can prevent students from joining field trips, enrichment programs, and other formative opportunities. These moments matter. They build confidence, broaden horizons, and create lasting memories.
That’s why we’re here. Brighter Journeys Foundation is committed to breaking down those barriers and opening doors to brighter futures. One student, one journey at a time.
Meet the Founder
As a college educator and parent, I’ve seen firsthand the power of educational experiences beyond the classroom. But I’ve also witnessed the heartbreak when my own children came home from field trips and told me their friends couldn’t go because their families couldn’t afford it. No child should have to miss out on moments that spark curiosity, build confidence, and create lasting memories.
While serving on the boards of both PTA and PTO at various elementary schools, I became even more aware of how often financial barriers stand in the way of opportunity. That’s what inspired me to create Brighter Journeys Foundation: to ensure that every student, regardless of background, has access to the enriching experiences that foster a love of learning and open doors to a brighter future.

Our Commitment to Fairness
This policy reflects our commitment to fairness and inclusion as we build Brighter Journeys Foundation from the ground up.
We believe every child deserves the chance to learn, explore, and grow through school field trips, regardless of financial circumstances.
Field Trip Assistance Distribution Policy
At Brighter Journeys Foundation, our mission is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to experience the learning and joy that come from school field trips.
Because requests for assistance sometimes exceed available funds, we work directly with schools to identify students in need and distribute support fairly and confidentially.
When full funding for all students isn’t possible, schools may:
✅ Prioritize students with the highest financial need
✅ Provide partial assistance to reach more students
✅ Use a fair, neutral method (such as a random selection) if requests outnumber available funds
We remain committed to growing our resources through community donations and partnerships so we can help even more students participate in these valuable experiences.
